Name: Jenni Boskovich

Hometown: Born and Raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Current City: She and her husband live in Ocean Springs, MS with our three awesome kids, Amelia, Luke and Addison Kate.

Who do you shop for at Kidz Klozet? She shops for Amelia, 6, Luke, 4, and Addison Kate, 1.  She feels she is very lucky to have two girls to buy clothes for!  (But she says her poor husband is not so lucky)

How long have you been a member of the Kidz Klozet family?

She has been a member of the Kidz Klozet family, since we moved to the Mississippi coast close to three years ago.

Do you remember your first shopping experience with Kidz Klozet?

She does indeed! She remembers pulling up and seeing the sea of women lined up with their laundry baskets and she got huge butterflies in her stomach.  She said it was so fun to talk with everyone in line and get their “game plans” set up for their shopping experiences.  Her husband still teases her that she doesn’t sleep the night before the sale because she is so excited about the deals she will find.

How did you first learn about Kidz Klozet?

Her friends from Mississippi had worked and shopped the sale the year before and filled her in on all the details.

What are you passionate about?

She is most passionate about making sure her children are loved and loving individuals.  She also really enjoys fellowship with her friends and church family, reading and her book club and organizing her house and others (She knows she is slightly a freak for this).

If you were to have any spare time, how would you spend it?

After a good nap, she would spend any other free time with her husband and children out on their boat at Horn Island with their friends.

If you were given a million dollars what would you do with it?

Pay back her husband’s medical school loans, buy him a Porsche because he has wanted one since he was five years old and she can’t think of a husband/daddy who deserves one more.  She would also let the children pick out some charities they are passionate about to share some of our blessings.

When you meet new people with children, what would you tell them about Kidz Klozet?

Kidz Klozet has such an amazing selection of everything one would need from infant to young adults at a fraction of what one would pay retail.  The quality is very high, includes many boutique brands and Monica and Michelle do a great job at making sure the toys and baby equipment is all up to current safety standards.

What had been your favorite steal/deal at Kidz Klozet?

She has probably too many to mention!  This past fall sale I found my daughter’s coordinating smocked Christmas dresses for $30, for both!!  A beautiful Strasburg beaded Easter dress for $20.00, nearly new Nike football cleats for my son for $3.00! She was getting excited again just thinking about the deals!!!

Do you having any tips/tricks regarding shopping or consigning you would like to share?

For her it is definitely worth volunteering to work the sale so she can pre-shop.  She also really tries to price my items with what she would be willing to pay for the item and try to keep the sentimental value about the outfits out of her prices.

Anything else you would like to share about Kidz Klozet?

Monica and Michelle have done an amazing job with Kidz Klozet, both in the quality of the merchandise but also the quality of their business.  They are very genuine and care about their workers, consignors and shoppers.  They are constantly improving and pushing themselves to make the sales even more awesome.

Hometown: She was born in Mobile and has lived here all of her life.  All of her family is here, she can’t imagine living any place else.

Who do you shop for at Kidz Klozet? She started shopping at Kidz Klozet for her 10 year old son, but now he has pretty much outgrown all of the clothes. So, now she mainly shops for her 7- year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.

How long have you been a member of the Kidz Klozet family?

From the very beginning, when Kidz Klozet started at the armory.

Do you remember your first shopping experience with Kidz Klozet?

She that was a long time ago, but thinks you even had to pay $1 to shop.

How did you first learn about Kidz Klozet?

From friends, plus an advertisement in the newspaper.

What are you passionate about? She enjoys spending time with her children and volunteering at their school.

If you were to have any spare time, how would you spend it?

Lately, she has been exercising a lot at the fitness center at their church Cottage Hill Baptist after she drops the children off at the school.

If you were given a million dollars what would you do with it?

She would save it for her children and buy a beach house for herself.  She laughed, saying she guessed that would be for them too!

When you meet new people with children, what would you tell them about Kidz Klozet?

It is a MUST!  She would share how it has really helped her with raising her three children. She would also tell them to bring a big basket, arrive early and to volunteer if possible.

What had been your favorite steal/deal at Kidz Klozet?

Too many to remember!  They are all steals and deals!  Especially the batman toys at the consignment sales.  Some of her children’s favorite outfits have come from the consignment sale! She also loves buying outfits at the new clothing sale for 75% off the msrp!

Do you having any tips/tricks regarding shopping or consigning you would like to share?

She strongly recommends that people volunteer and strong encourages that you work a double shift if at all possible!  There are so many wonderful perks, shopping early at the new clothing sale is her favorite.  She always has tons of fun and loves have the first glimpse of all the new items.

Anything else you would like to share about Kidz Klozet?

She wanted to make she it was documented how much she loves Monica and Michelle!  She knows it is getting harder for them to do this since the sale has grown so much, but they still go out of their way to provide the personal touch.  They make their shoppers, consignors and volunteers feel important!  It amazes her how they remember the names of so many people.

Hometown:  I was born in Mobile, AL, but grew up in Miami, FL.  I eventually found my way back home.

Who do you shop for at Kidz Klozet?

My nine-year-old daughter, Madelyn.

What are you passionate about? Raising my daughter, cooking, scuba diving, and reading science fiction.

If you were to have any spare time, how would you spend it? I make time for the above things I am passionate about.  The coolest place I have ever been scuba diving is Palua, an island in the Pacific.

If you were given a million dollars what would you do with it? I would save almost all of it for my daughter’s education. How boring is that??

How long have you been a member of the Kidz Klozet family? Since day one.  In fact, I have an extremely low consignor number!

Do you remember your first shopping experience with Kidz Klozet? As if it were yesterday!  A lady with a stroller ran over my foot to push me out of the way to get to some clothes.

If you were to meet a stranger on the street with children in tow, what would you tell them about Kidz Klozet? It is the best shopping experience around for anyone with children. You have to go!  It is easy shopping with a wonderful selection.  They try hard not to accept clothes with stains, etc.  You can buy outfits for an entire season for $100.

How did you first learn about Kidz Klozet? I managed the office building where the sale was held.  Since then I have followed them to their new, larger location on Airport Blvd..

What has been your favorite steal/deal at Kidz Klozet? There have been far too many to choose just one!

Do you have any tips/tricks regarding shopping or consigning you would like to share? Volunteer or consign so you can qualify to shop at the pre-sales for the greatest selection and best prices.

Is there anything else you would like to say about Kidz Klozet? The owners of Kidz Klozet are wonderful community-minded individuals.  Most people are not aware of all the charity work they are involved in behind the scenes.  They are genuinely good people that care about their volunteers, consignors and shoppers.  If they do not put the above statement on the website, then I will not agree to be their Klozet Kleaner of the Month!!

Name: Alice Grantham

Hometown: I was born in Memphis, TN, and still visit my parents and other family often.

Current City:  We have lived in Mobile since June of 2004. My husband felt Mobile would be a great place to raise a family and to practice dentistry.

Who do you shop for at Kidz Klozet? Two sons, and another one due in November, so that will be three boys…. three and under!

What are you passionate about? Children!  I have always been passionate about children.  My Masters Degree is in Special Education. Whether they are my own children or others, I strive to have children reach their full potential.

If you were to have any spare time, how would you spend it? We love anything outdoors, especially the beach.  It would be nice to have more time alone with my husband.  I would read more and spend more time hanging out with friends!

If you were given a million dollars what would you do with it? Considering we just bought my husband’s dentist practice, I would say get out of debt.  Then share some with family and buy a boat!

How long have you been a member of the Kidz Klozet family? Almost 4 years ago, when I was pregnant with my oldest.

Do you remember your first shopping experience with Kidz Klozet? Yes, indeed, it was at the Armory in Springhill.  I was so excited to see all the stuff!! I couldn’t believe people would get rid of all of their baby’s belongings, now I totally understand.  The lighting was horrible there, much better now. I know that sounds weird, but so important for catching stains, etc.

If you were to meet a stranger on the street with children in tow, what would you tell them about Kidz Klozet?

You have to go to Kidz Klozet!  In fact, I just told a mother at my son’s school.  She was talking about needing to get rid of some items and was going to take things to Goodwill.  So, I told her about consigning with Kidz Klozet.  Not that Goodwill isn’t a wonderful charity, but consigning is a way you can make money to replenish the items your children outgrow.

How did you first learn about Kidz Klozet? My dear friend, Darci Caesar, introduced me. She has since moved to Nashville, but I still shop for her.  Even though Nashville has a good number of consignment sales, she says you just can’t find the smocked clothes like you can at Kidz Klozet.

What has been your favorite steal/deal at Kidz Klozet? A $4 Little Tykes Car, which my sons still play with constantly!  Any time I find a smocked Jon- Jon under $8, I get excited!  Plus, I love all the matching outfits I can purchase for my boys!

Do you have any tips/tricks regarding shopping or consigning you would like to share? Be prepared to stay a long time, there is always lot to see!  Have fun and enjoy the entire experience.  Use the Golden Rule when shopping; treat others, as you would like to be treated!

Have a plan of action; map out your strategy before you arrive!  If your number one priority is to get a basketball goal, don’t get carried away with something you see on the way! Go for the goal and then go back! Because chances are the goal will be gone!

Anything else you would like to say about Kidz Klozet? One of my favorite things about the sale is volunteering.  Not only because volunteering affords you the opportunity to shop first, but for numerous other reasons.  I look forward to seeing friends I have made through the years and meet new friends.  At one of the first sales I volunteered I noticed a young pregnant woman.  She looked overwhelmed and lost!  So, I took her under my wing and helped guide her through the process and suggested items she would need for the baby, etc.  She continues to shop at Kidz Klozet and each time I see her, she gives me a great big hug!  So, I encourage everyone to volunteer, and to share your knowledge as a mom, to those like my young friend who need a helping hand.

I would also like to say I think the world of Michelle and Monica.  They are smart businesswomen! They also take care of their customers and consignors.  Not to mention, just genuine sincere sweet individuals.
